Lara Druyan is the Founding Partner of G&B Partners and a Venture Advisor to SRI. Previously, she was an Investor in Residence at US Venture Partners and a General Partner with an early-stage venture capital firm for over a decade. She also worked at Silicon Graphics as a product manager in its heyday; she released a dozen software products while at SGI.
Ms. Druyan is also currently Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Investment Committee for the City of San Jose's Federated Employee Retirement System (a $2B pension plan), a member of the Board of Directors of TalentCircles and serves as an advisor to a number of start-ups, including: Skout, Yubico, Galvanize Labs, PeerCoin, Social Scope, and PandaWhale.
Her angel investments include: Quixey, GoIndex, Xactly, ShopItToMe, Powerset (MSFT) and others. She also serves on Astia's Investor Council, on the Board of Trustees for the Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School and on the Board of Trustees for Aim High, a non-profit focused on providing free programs for at-risk middle school children.
In 2009, she was named by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal as one of the "2009 Women of Influence in Silicon Valley". She holds a bachelor's degree with Honors in Economics from the University of Chicago and a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
