Kef Kasdin serves as General Partner at Battelle Ventures. Kasdin served as General Partner at Innovation Valley Partners.

She has been Co-CEO of Proterro since co-founding the company in 2008. Named among “the top 100 people in bioenergy” for two consecutive years (2011-2012 and 2012-2013) by Biofuels Digest and listed among the “Top 10 Most Influential Women in the Biofuel Business,” Ms. Kasdin has been involved in developing and executing strategy for high-technology companies for more than 25 years.

As a general partner of Battelle Ventures and Innovation Valley Partners, Ms. Kasdin worked closely on identifying promising technologies, projects and synergies with the National Laboratories that sole limited partner Battelle Memorial Institute manages or co-manages for the U.S. Department of Energy around the country.

After nine years at 3Com Corporation, where she was the general manager of a $1-billion business and the first Executive in Residence, Office of the Chairman, Ms. Kasdin became a technology-startup consultant in the late 1990s, a venture capitalist in 2000 and a founding member of the management team forming Battelle Ventures in 2003. A frequent presenter, panelist or moderator at industry, venture and academic conferences, she holds a B.S.E. degree in operations research from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University.
